Job Summary:

Be responsible for the execution and delivery of assigned CAE projects for AP R&D Center as required and in conformity with defined Project Execution Process Flow. Lead to develop engineering CFD capabilities.

                

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compressor CFD (Thermal & Fluid flow & Aeroacoustics etc.) simulation to support product engineers to deliver a robust design for new product development (NPD).
  • Provide suggestion & solutions for component, product or system design to achieve design goal of higher performance, reliability and cost advantage.
  • Manage CAE project execution to meet NPD/Innovation project schedule and requirement.
  • Be responsible for CFD modelling and simulation capability enablement, including capability roadmap setup and leading the CFD group to achieve the capability development goal.
  • Comparison of simulation vs. test results to iterate simulation parameters and methodology.
  • Develop new CFD techniques, document simulation specification, standard work and efficiency tools.
  • Provide support to vibration and acoustic team in CFD domain.

 

Qualifications:         

  • MS or PHD Degree in Mechanics, Energy and Power Engineering, Automotive or other related.
  • Solid theoretical foundation of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, numerical computation.
  • Proficient in Pre-processing and CFD software: SpaceClaim, Ansys Fluent / CFX, or similar.
  • Experience in any of the following will be beneficial: writing subroutines (User Defined Functions), Python, Ansys ACT.
  • FEA structural / dynamic simulation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, open-minded, self-motivated with results-driven thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong communication skills and great documentation skills.
