Product Engineer

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Participate ETO (Engineering To Order) high pressure reciprocating compressor package design and solutions applied to PET, hydro turbine dewater process industry, to develop engineering capability, covering design philosophy, specifications, and project implementation/ customer documentation. Collaborate with other functional teams to deliver engineered oil free compressor packages by assuring that customer needs are satisfied and regional regulatory compliance is achieved. The focus of this position is engineered to Order (ETO) system design, cost control, and business support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend “kick-off” meetings with the customer to clarify and confirm requirements and/or present deviations.
- Review customer documentation and specifications and coordinate with design engineers to ensure that customer requirements for the contract are being met.
- Join package design, technical documents preparation within engineers, submit, and negotiate deviations from the specifications.
- Assist team with handling customers during inspections, contract review meetings and performance tests.
- Control technical changes and provide technical support for fabrication vendors, and components localization.
- Assist with project execution teams to review process within team, technical clarification with customers.
- Support on Project Manager to determine any risks and delivery impacts of customer change orders.
8. Comply with IR policy, disciplines, and standard work process.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or above in Engineering background, Fluid machinery, and Chemical Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiar with Reciprocating compressor design research, Engineering process and system solutions study.
- International codes for API 618 and process gas machinery is preferred.
- International pressure vessel and piping design codes is preferred.
- Global research study experience is preferred
Competence Requirement:
- Computer systems and basic office applications knowledge (i.e. MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experiences with working Software, Autocad, NX, FEA.
- Flexibility to handle multiple projects of varying size and scope.
- Capability to quickly and efficiently understand, and organize information to make decisions.
- Customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive team player with a desire to build effective working relationships with cross functional teams.
