Position Summary
As a Senior Material Planner (m/f/d), you will be responsible for operational material planning in an international production environment. You will ensure demand-driven availability of materials, optimize inventory levels, and work closely with suppliers, production, and strategic purchasing. Your role is key to ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement of our supply chain processes.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material planning and procurement, considering delivery dates, inventory targets, and quality requirements
  • Create demand forecasts and analyze order requirements
  • Maintain and optimize material master data in the ERP system (SAP)
  • Manage bottlenecks and proactively assess risks
  • Collaborate closely with production, strategic purchasing, suppliers, and quality teams
  • Apply methods such as Kanban and other LEAN tools to efficiently manage material flow
  • Initiate cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
  • Contribute to organizational topics and prepare for potential leadership responsibilities

 

Your Profile

  • Technical training with further qualification as technician/master craftsman or a technical degree
  • Additional training in supply chain (e.g., APICS/CPIM) is a plus
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in production/material planning with international supply chains
  • Experience in supplier management
  • ERP/SAP knowledge; familiarity with other MRP software is a plus
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
  • Excellent German skills (C1) and good English skills (at least B1)
  • Knowledge and practical experience in applying LEAN methods in material procurement
