Job Objective: |
|
|
Complete assembly and testing of compressed air equipment and associated products in a professional, accurate, accurate, timely manner and completion of accurate associated paperwork. Duties and Responsibilities: |
|
|
To comply with all reasonable health and safety requirements as designated by CAPS Australia. |
|
|
Accurate and competent mechanical fitting, fabrication and assembly, testing and commissioning in a timely manner, of all modifications to compressed air equipment and associated products in CAPS Manufacturing / Projects departments. |
|
|
Mechanical Fitting includes but is not limited to: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Mechanical fault finding and repairs to company equipment, buildings and assets. |
|
|
Safe Lifting of Equipment Using Cranes and lifting equpiment such as slings, chains, spreader bars |
|
|
Safe Operation of Workshop Utility Vehicle, Various Forklifts & once internally approved to do so. |
|
|
Attend customer premises or site if required for assistance with commissioning, fault finding and repair. |
|
|
Attend various company sponsored training programmes as necessary. |
|
|
Maintain clean and safe working environment. |
|
|
Contribute to improvement of the working environment by offering process or procedural improvements. |
|
|
Completion of Job cards and test reports in an accurate, legible, neat and comprehensive manner. |
|
|
To work efficiently and comply with all company policies and procedures as changed from time to time. |
|

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
|
|
Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification is essential |
|
|
Dogging/Rigging High Risk License an advantage but not essential |
|
|
Experience with Welding an advantage but not essential |
|
|
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills. |
|
|
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation. |
|
|
Proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving. |
|
