Job Summary

The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process and supporting inspection, documentation, ERP transactions, audit compliance, and quality records management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely GRN clearance in ERP.
  • Support production order closing activities in ERP.
  • Follow up on all rejected parts/materials, maintain records, and hand over to Stores.
  • Provide support for ISO, customer, and other compliance audits.
  • Collect and maintain documents related to approved QAPs, Third Party Inspections, customer orders, and project orders.
  • Perform basic product and system inspections whenever required.
  • Follow up daily on Pump Test Certificates (TCs) based on final inspection reports.
  • Prepare and circulate pending GRN and PPM reports every Friday.
  • Maintain rejection history records for both in-house and supplier-related quality issues.
  • Support preparation of manuals, test certificates, and dispatch documentation for system deliveries.
  • Maintain GRN clearance data in tracking sheets.
  • Follow up QC godown stock statements and ensure timely clearance of materials.
  • Coordinate with Stores, Production, Procurement, and Engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and applicable quality management systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3-6 years.
  • Quality control experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of ERP systems, engineering drawings, inspection tools, MS Office, English and Tamil.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site-based role with occasional travel to supplier and customer locations.
