Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Engineer to lead the delivery of advanced isolator and containment systems. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial concept through design, manufacturing, testing, and final handover.

 

Responsibilities

 

Project Management

  • Ownership of project scheduling, budget, resource, scope and quality.
  • Develop and manage project scheduling, from inception to project completion, ensuring stakeholder engagement and accountability.
  • Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved within defined scope, time, quality expectation, and budget.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (technical and operational)
  • Directly collaborate with customers, ensuring complete harmonisation with expected project deliverables.
  • Manage changes in scope, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and project objectives

 

Technical Coordination:

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, automation)
  • Review and validate design outputs to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
  • Support resolution of technical issues throughout design and build phases
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements (URS) and engineering solutions

 

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Support development and review of key project documentation (URS, FDS, test protocols)
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, design, and testing activities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in line with internal quality standards
  • Support change control processes and ensure controlled implementation of design  revisions.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and business practice, contributing to the culture of continuous improvement.

 

Manufacturing & Testing:

  • Interface with manufacturing and commissioning teams to ensure  alignment with assembly and installation expectations.
  • Support and/or lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Ensure systems meet functional, quality, and performance requirements prior to delivery
  • Support installation, commissioning, and final project close-out

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and external partners
  • Lead project review meetings and provide clear progress updates
  • Ensure customer requirements and feedback are effectively translated into design solutions
  • Follow appropriate escalation route to resolve identified project obstructions or mitigate highlighted risk.
  • Maintain strong communication across all project stakeholders. Support installation, commissioning, and final project close-out

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware development, with at least 2 years in project leadership.
  • Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from concept to production.
  • Strong understanding of isolator systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Hybrid, regular on-site attendance required and occasional travel to customer sites

 

Key Competencies

  • Experience in medical or pharmaceutical hardware development.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Exposure to validation activities (FAT, SAT, commissioning)
  • Understanding of automation and control systems is beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro and CSI).
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Capable of working independently as well as within a team
