Job Summary
As a Global Project Manager at Haskel, you are expected to a have a hands on, results-driven approach with the ability to lead with and without authority. This role has full responsibility for delivering global project builds, managing the project lifecycle from order receipt through to delivery to the customer on time, to specification, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Management:
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, from receipt of customer order through to final delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and scope.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other resources and activities across multiple departments to meet project goals.
- Ensure that Haskel and its subcontractors fulfil all their contractual obligations to the customer in a professional, cost effective and timely manner.
Customer Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates, resolve issues, and manage customer expectations effectively.
Team Collaboration:
- Lead & collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Work closely with third-party vendors and suppliers to meet technical and timeline requirements.
Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
- Identify potential risks early and develop proactive mitigation plans.
- Address project challenges promptly to minimise impacts on schedule or cost.
Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure projects adhere to all relevant standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Oversee quality assurance activities to ensure the final product meets specifications.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
- Monitor costs, forecast financial performance, and report to leadership on financial outcomes.
Performance Reporting and Improvement:
- Regularly track and report on project progress, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Experience working with global supply chains and vendors.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, systems, or high-pressure builds.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- National and International travel expected 5-10% of the time.
- Flexibility to work with US based locations & time zones will be required as per project needs
Key Competencies
- Proven track record of managing complex project builds, ideally within engineering/manufacturing site setting.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools & ERP planning.
- Strong understanding of commercial and contract management.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Financial literacy and experience managing project budgets and cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
