Job Summary
Working within a warehouse facility, managing the flow and control of material through a combination of receiving, kitting, packing, handling and shipping of goods and equipment to support internal operations and a worldwide customer base.
Responsibilities
Order Fullfillment (60%)
o Picking stock, packing goods and preparing ready for dispatch.
o Receiving new stock, checking and locating onto racking.
o Use of banding and packing machines.
o Uploading of upcoming deliveries and placing it in the appropriate areas of the warehouse.
o Checking shipping and receiving manifests to ensure accuracy
o Controlling inventory by locating missing material, stocking material, restocking material and checking for damaged material.
Administration and Dispatching (40%)
o Basic office skills including filing, scanning, organising of paperwork, etc.
o Job related knowledge of internal operating system (JDE/Oracle).
Basic Qualifications
Essential:
o FLT counterbalance license
Desirable:
o NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing
o Slinging and lifting certificate.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Based at the Sunderland Site.
Key Competencies
• Basic knowledge of Export and Import requirements (Europe, non-European)
• Electric Pallet Truck
• Computer literacy, including knowing how to use scanners and relevant software programs such as inventory management systems
• Previous experience of JDE is desirable
• Structured and organised
• Good communication skills
• Working within a team
• Good interpersonal skills
• Working in a fast paced environment
