Job Overview
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and developing our quality assurance processes. In this role, you will ensure that Ingersoll Rand produced assemblies meet marine regulatory and traceability requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyds) as well as customer standards through inspection, testing, and process controls.
You will collaborate closely with design, production, and supply chain teams to ensure that every product meets our high-quality standards. The role also includes partially maintaining ISO9001 management systems and participating in internal audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Partially participate in ISO9001 Quality Management Systems,
- Contribute to internal QA processes (design-to-product validations),
- Manage material certificates for Marine, PED & UKCA (vendor email to SAP) and witness compressor tests (EN1024 – 3.1/3.2),
- Upload component certificates to SAP (multiple marine classes),
- Manage vendor credit notes in SAP and track open claims/credits,
- Conduct various reporting tasks,
- Perform internal audits to confirm compliance and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering),
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality or industrial quality assurance,
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and standards,
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
Key Competencies
- Experience with nonconformity handling, quality assurance, and quality control,
- Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems,
- Experience in internal auditing,
- SAP user skills,
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration capabilities,
- Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits and audits,
- We also appreciate:
- Knowledge of air compressors,
- PPAP processes and reporting,
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
