Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Senior HR Generalist to join our Ingersoll Rand HR team in Tampere. In this role, you will work closely with our HR Business Partner team to drive strategic HR initiatives and support leaders and employees across the business.
You are an HR professional with broad experience across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit as well as annual people processes such as performance management, development planning, and engagement activities. You will play a key role in shaping the employee experience and will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that support our business and people strategy. You will also be an active member of local management teams.
We would expect you to have previous experience in Finnish labor law and collective agreements. Our HR team in the Nordics collaborates closely across countries and people processes, and depending on your experience and motivation, you can also take an active role in various HR topics in Sweden and Norway.

Main Responsibilities
- Partner closely with leaders, HR Business Partners, and employees to strengthen work relationships, enhance engagement, and improve productivity and retention,
- Foster positive change through strong coaching, counseling, and influencing skills,
- Support and drive cultural transformation initiatives that reinforce an employee‑ownership mindset,
- Advise managers and employees on company policies, procedures, labor legislation, and collective agreement matters,
- Provide guidance and hands-on support in performance improvement processes, as well as in managing employee issues, concerns, and complaints,
- Support local managers in resource planning, including recruitment and selection, restructuring activities, and redundancy processes,
- Implement HR plans, processes, and programs aligned with business needs, covering organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal setting and performance management, employee engagement, and internal communications,
- Coordinate compensation and benefits processes in line with company policies and established practices,
- Support with local payroll process with operational and development initiatives.
Requirements:
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field,
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a demanding HR Generalist role within a multicultural and matrix organization; experience in a production or industrial environment is an advantage,
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, collective agreements, and HR practices in Finland, particularly within manufacturing and blue-collar settings,
- Proven experience in collaborating with employee representatives and labor unions,
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end people processes across the entire employee lifecycle,
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills in both Finnish and English,
- Strong negotiation skills combined with a persistent, solution-oriented approach to delivering results,
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally,
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently, capable of prioritizing, adapting to changing business needs, and collaborating effectively with HR and business stakeholders.
