Job Summary
Our Supervisor Logistics is responsible for running logistical operations at our Tampere plant, including warehouse management and inhouse logistics. This role ensures a consistent flow of materials and products necessary for the company's operations, while constantly developing work and optimizing cost-efficiency. This role plays a critical part in keeping the productivity at a high level and contributing to inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Safety: Participating in and contributing to safety improvements by showing example, establish up to date instructions, active participation in our Behavior Based Safety (BBS) approach.
- Supervising: Manage team or teams, contributing to maintaining and increasing the level of employee engagement, and setting up the targets and main KPIs.
- Development projects: Develop productivity and material flow, working with production and procurement to ensure reliable material flow, and driving continuous improvement.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with the procurement and production teams to always ensure healthy stock levels.
- Other duties as delegated by the line manager.
Basic Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of experience from production, logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience
- SAP or similar ERP system experience preferred
- Knowledge of 3PL, Vendor management seen as a plus
- Fluent Finnish and English required, both written and spoken
