Application & Service Engineer - Compressor

Position Summary:

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Application & Service Engineer  – Compressor based in Ho Chi Minh City / Hanoi, Vietnam. The position will provide technical expertise across the full lifecycle of compressor solutions, including pre‑sales application engineering and after‑sales service execution, ensuring optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction while supporting business growth.

Responsibilities: 

Pre-Sales / Application Engineering:

  • Analyse customer requirements (flow, pressure, air quality, energy) and recommend optimal compressor solutions
  • Design compressed air systems (compressors, dryers, filters, piping, etc.)
  • Perform performance calculations, energy efficiency analysis, and system sizing
  • Prepare technical proposals, P&ID, layout drawings, and solution presentations
  • Support sales team during technical discussions, site visits, and tendering
  • Contribute to proposal optimization and value-based solution positioning

 

After-Sales / Installation Engineering

  • Execute installation, commissioning, and start-up of compressor systems
  • Provide technical support and training to customers
  • Conduct performance audits and recommend improvements
  • Ensure proper documentation and service reporting

 

System Optimization & Customer Support

  • Monitor system performance and identify energy-saving opportunities
  • Recommend upgrades, retrofits, and service contracts
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and service teams to improve customer solutions

 

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with: Sales team (solution proposal), Service team (execution), Product team (technical support)
  • Provide feedback on product performance and market needs

 

Other responsibilities: as assigned or required.

 

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering
  • 3–7 years experience in: Air compressors, HVAC, or industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge of: Thermodynamics and compressed air systems, System design, CAD Drawing
  • Customer-facing and problem-solving mindset
  • Willing to travel (site work required)
