Job Summary

Reporting directly to the VPHR, this position will provide high quality HR support and coaching for Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial compression systems and services business segment, with a particular focus on the Engineered Solutions division.

This role will serve as a valued business partner for the General Manager - while ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous improvement in areas such as Engagement, Talent Acquisition / Development, Culture, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion, Capability Building, and Organizational Effectiveness.

The HR Business Partner will liaise and effectively coordinate with HR counterparts in the businesses and regions, and with colleagues in the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver the best HR support possible.

 

Responsibilities and duties

  • Effectively partner with leaders to drive positive, business impacting change, aligning human resources programs and initiatives with strategic objectives and operating plans.
  • Serve as a credible coach and confidante to these leadership teams, as well as a strong employee advocate.
  • Develop and execute HR plans, processes, and programs aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management / talent acquisition, goal alignment, employee engagement and communications.
  • Drive and enable cultural transformation to support Ingersoll Rand’s DE&I strategic objective.
  • Provide expertise in change management processes to positively impact organizational effectiveness, coach leadership teams on change management.
  • Serve as a performance coach for functional leaders to ensure each leadership team is highly effective in improving organizational capability.
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition colleagues to attract, hire and onboard the best candidates as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Coach and advise on appropriate total rewards strategies, programs, and tools to enhance organizational performance and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with other HR colleagues on sharing best practices and increasing the development and use of HR standard work.

 

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. Master’s degree (MBA, Master’s in HR, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a progressive HR environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building talent, engaging teams, driving culture change and strategic growth of businesses and organizations.
  • Direct experience supporting a sales & service organization in a global matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated success in creating an environment of trust with business partners where integrity is unquestioned.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with HR COEs and HR Shared Services teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communications skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant local/state/federal employment laws.
  • Must be authorized to work in their respective country without company sponsorship.
  • Prior experience in an industrial company and HR certification are considered preferred qualifications.

 

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Role based in Vignate, and around 25% of travel time required to other company sites in Italy and Europe.
