Job Description
 

This position, under the supervision of Quality Assurance Supervisor, will be mainly responsible for leading local and global Suppliers to the required quality level of the delivered components.
Knowledge of typical quality department tasks and responsibilities is also required.

Purpose of this position is to provide quality expertise, principles and assets necessary to work with suppliers in managing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for approving the production processes and products delivered to Ingersoll Rand. He/She will be also committed in supporting supplier in finding defects root cause and implement corrective actions, to avoid delivery of non-conforming products.

Position will require interfacing with internal Departments, intercompany at global level, suppliers at local and global level.

Candidate shall be able to obtain results with minimal guidance and be accountable for programs and projects results assigned by Quality Assurance Supervisor


Tasks

  • Manage new item and new product qualification processes
  • Managing supplier part approval (PPAP) to completion – initially and with every engineering change for New products, Engineered Packages, New spare parts
  • Interface between the SDE Team and the factory upon needs
  • Monitor, communicate and improve KPI’s, mainly related to Supplier Quality Metrics (supplier defects, PPM, Rework, Pareto analysis, …)
  • Develop, prepare, analyze and deliver accurate and timely required reports (statistical analysis, trends...)
  • Initiate, execute and follow up Supplier corrective actions requests (SCAR)
  • Analyzing supplier NCRs and follow up for corrective actions, perform root cause analysis activities
  • Work to resolve supplier issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply of materials
  • Leads/participates in cross-functional improvement teams/programs to effective resolution and results.
  • Maintain quality records, certifications and database
  • Develop quality control plan and inspection and test plan
  • Perform inspection on supplier site (visual /dimensional, hydrotest, NDE, etc.)

 

Profile

  • Engineering degree or equivalent culture
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in quality related jobs, preferably  inside manufacturing companies
