Job Summary

As Marketing Automation Manager, you will be responsible for advancing complex marketing automation solutions to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. This role involves design architecture, configuration and testing of complex marketing automation solutions involving multiple systems (e.g., Marketing Automation System, CRM) and data sources to automate customer notification via email and other channels as well as and lead and task creation. You will take ownership of the implementation and operation of the designed solutions, analyze their performance and leverage data to refine efficiency. An exceptional technical proficiency in marketing automation platforms and systems is essential, along with strong collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and business-focused marketing teams. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with analytical thinking to deliver impactful marketing solutions and will manage a team of 3 marketing automation specialists.  

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing and Implementing Strategies: design automated marketing campaigns, focusing on email marketing, SMS, social media and WhatsApp, lead nurturing, and customer retention strategies.
  • Creating and Managing Workflows: setting up automated workflows that trigger actions based on user behavior, such as welcome sequences or cart abandonment follow-ups. CRM offline triggers workflows as well as IoT triggers to follow up on customer behavior across customer journey such as Instalbase service and quotation follow up.
  • Lead Scoring and Nurturing: assess and prioritize leads based on their engagement and readiness to purchase, ensuring that the sales team focuses on the most promising prospects.
  • Automated Customer Notifications: Implement automated customer notifications via email and other channels, as well as lead and task creation.
  • Configure and Test Solutions: Ensure the proper configuration and thorough testing of marketing automation systems, including CRM and other related platforms.
  • Manage Marketing Automation Solutions: Take ownership of the implementation and operation of marketing automation solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization.
  • Analyze and Optimize Performance: Continuously analyze the performance of implemented solutions and leverage data to refine and improve efficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead or co-lead cross-departmental projects to expand and enhance our marketing automation ecosystem, drawing on project management methodologies as required (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban)

 

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, fluent written & spoken English required, ability to work in a global environment.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to efficiently manage stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Up to date with current and emerging digital marketing trends
  • Analytical Skills
  • A valid work permit is required for applicants who are not EU Citizens

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based, flexible working, hybrid, 10% travel across Europe.

 

Key Competencies

  • 3+ years team management experience - strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, strategies, and results to stakeholders at all levels
  • 5+ years' experience working in email marketing platforms (preferably: Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • 2+ years' experience working in CRM (preferably: SalesForce, HubSpot).
  • 3+ year Project management experience, incl. establishing and maintaining processes in Lean or Agile methodology - Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.
  • Advanced technical skills, e.g. (appreciated) HTML, JavaScript
  • An associate’s degree (or international equivalent) in Marketing + at least 5 years of experience working in a similar role
