We take pride in our craftsmanship, attention to detail, and strong team culture. We are now seeking an experienced and hands on Workshop Manager to join our team in the Dungarvan area.
Purpose of Role
To support daily operations by ensuring production schedules and targets are achieved while maintaining high quality standards. The role supports planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, while leading the team to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
- Managing workshop staff
- Deliver on daily/weekly production schedules and work targets
- Ensure team focus, commitment, and accountability for quality output
- Drive consistent achievement of operational KPIs
Planning & Scheduling
- Assist Operations Manager with production scheduling and planning
- Support coordination of resources to meet operational demands
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare regular operational reports
- Maintain and update spreadsheets and tracking sheets
- Accurately input and monitor production data
Meetings & Communication
- Attend team and operations meetings as required
- Communicate updates, priorities, and issues clearly to team and management
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Improve manufacturing flow
- Support implementation and setup of new processes
- Identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements
Quality
- Monitor product quality and adherence to standards
- Raise and escalate quality issues to the Quality Lead
Maintenance
- Assist in planning and coordination of machine maintenance
- Support efforts to minimise downtime and maintain equipment efficiency
Leadership Support
- Provide supervisory cover during Supervisor/Manager absences (e.g. PTO, Jury Duty)
- Ensure smooth continuation of operations during absences
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
- ERP knowledge essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operations or manufacturing environment
- Third level qualification in manufacturing, engineering or operations management
- Previous team lead or supervisory experience
