Material Planner

Position Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Perform timely, cost-conscious procurement of production/inventory/MRO items.
2. Receive and analyze requisitions to determine quantity, specifications and delivery requirements.
3. From approved supplier list, recommend and select suppliers to fulfill scheduled plant deliveries.
4. Responsible for the on-boarding of new selected suppliers relative to material planning.
5. Ensure up-to-date ABC classification is maintained for planning, and other key inputs into the PFEP process
6. Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts
7. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
8. Maintain proactive shortage identification and management - help flag root causes & corrective actions.
9. Identify total cost and cash flow opportunities with suppliers.
10. Analyze and select parts for KanBan and Supplier replenishment.
11. May lead and direct others to accomplish desired organizational objectives.
12. Expedite deliveries to meet and exceed scheduled critical requirements.
13. Maintain material plan at the time fence to ensure continuity of supply.
14. Coordinate with production planners for solutions when parts cannot be delivered as promised.
15. Maintain and continuously evaluate supplier performance and escalate to Procurement when issues occur.
16. Resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and accounting.
17. Analyze material and capacity availability to provide customer promise dates for sales orders.
18. Maintains item master lead time information based upon process improvements, current constraints, total current demand by product family, and priority information.
19. Manage internal and SOMI/VMI material to meet schedules.
20. Interface with required functional groups to resolve challenging delivery requirements.
21. Communicate forecasts and replenishment plans to supplier.
22. Review open requirements, monitoring vendor performance and expediting where necessary. Ensure that problems relating to delivery, quality or pricing are promptly conveyed to the supplier and resolved in a timely manner.
23. Productivity: identify and implement cost reduction/productivity projects to meet the corporate initiatives/goals. Maintain pipeline and financial records for reporting and tracking productivity.

33. 分析并选择适合做供应商看板以及供应商补货的物料。
34. 可领导和指导他人组织期望的目标。
35. 缩短供应商送货时间从而满足紧急订单需求
36. 维护物料计划，确保供应的连续性
37. 当原材料不能如期送达，与生产计划协作寻找相关的解决方案。
38. 维护和持续评估供应商的表现，当问题产生时向采购部门反馈以求解决
39. 确保与供应商和财务一起解决发票差异
40. 通过分析物料及产能可用情况以提供销售订单的客户承诺日期
41. 通过流程改进，现状控制及按产品族群总结所有目前需求信息，优先级等方法维护物料主供货时间信息。
42. 管理内部和SOMI/VMI 物料满足计划
43. 与相关的职能部门接口以解决具有挑战性的交付要求
44. 与供应商沟通预测及补货计划
45. 回顾未完成的需求，监督供应商表现，如有需要催促加急。保证与交付，质量和价格有关的问题迅速传达给供应商并及时解决
46. 生产效率：识别并实施成本节约/提高效率项目来满足总部目标。维护财务记录的有效跟踪。维护项目的进度及财务记录从而保证项目的追踪和汇报。

Experience and Skills Required:

75. BA/BS degree or 5+ years minimum planner/buyer manufacturing experience.
76. APICS (CPIM) or equivalent certification preferred.
77. Considerable knowledge of industry related supply base.
78. Skilled in production and supplier scheduling.
79. Knowledgeable of supplier processes and capabilities.
80. Able to provide direction and training to peers as needed.
81. Computer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications
82. Basic mathematical skills
83. Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
84. Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
85. Experience with visual management systems.
