Job Description – Apprentice Service Technician

 

SEEPEX is the leading global progressive cavity pump provider with a turnover of more than £200m. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at SEEPEX in Yeovil, Somerset as a Service Apprentice.

 

Personal Development - 

Over the course of 3 Years, you will have the opportunity to gain:

 

  • Level 3 Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • (Including BTEC L3 and NVQ L3)
  • Knowledge gained from our experienced technical team as well working alongside other Service and Commissioning Engineers and apprentices.

 

Responsibilities - 

 

  • After suitable training you will be able to service SEEPEX products and associated equipment either on-site or our Yeovil service centre.
  • To visit pump installations to assist in fault-finding and monitoring of the performance of equipment (utilising SEEPEX digital products where applicable).
  • To interpret data received from SEEPEX digital monitoring equipment and make recommendations/feedback to other departments/customers.

 

Competencies - 

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft office and able to produce written technical reports.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and show genuine interest in functionality and mechanics.
  • Ability to work within a team and upon own initiative.
  • Strong communicator - ability to express ideas and receive and exchange information clearly.
  • Ability to travel, working on sites around the country. 
  • Interest or basic knowledge of engineering and mechanical processes 
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • The role will involve staying away from home as required.
  •  

Qualifications:                        

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4 or above) Essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) Essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Other (preferably science) (Grade C/4 or above) Essential
  •
