Job Purpose:
To independently provide technical support and application expertise to customers, ensuring the optimal use of diaphragm, Wob-L piston, diaphragm, peristaltic, air displacement and other pump technologies and related solutions in diverse applications.
Job Summary:
The Applications Engineer II serves as a self-sufficient technical resource for customers and internal teams. This role involves analyzing customer requirements, recommending solutions, and supporting product integration with minimal supervision.
This role is also responsible for supporting the sales team in delivering technical assistance to customers in the life sciences and industrial markets. This role is designed for experienced professionals with previous engineering experience who can work as a strong independent contributor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Champion exceptional customer service and product quality, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive organic business growth.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for key OEM accounts, leveraging deep product expertise to influence customer decision-making, oversee complex communications and the delivery of tailored engineering solutions.
• Serve as liason between customer and internal customization team for ETO opportunities
• Develop and deliver comprehensive technical documentation and support materials, ensuring clarity and value for both internal stakeholders and customers.
• Analyze and document customer interactions and challenges in Salesforce CRM.
• Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, utilizing critical thinking to diagnose complex technical issues, reproduce scenarios, and develop innovative solutions that address root causes.
• Identify and drive process improvements within the division, applying lean principles to optimize processes and deliver measurable business impact.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
• Design and facilitate advanced training programs for colleagues, distributors, and customers, fostering technical excellence and product adoption.

Required Qualifications:
• Continuous learning mindset too keep up with evolving technologies.
• Excellent mechanical comprehensions with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Technical competence in Fluid Power (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electromechanical Systems).
• Experience in Life Science market spaces preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to direct and work effectively through others and be a participative team player
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemical engineering or a related technical discipline. Master's degree (MS) in engineering preferred.
• 4 years of relevant experience minimum (internships or co-ops preferred). May also have sales, manufacturing or engineering experience within a manufacturing division.
• PC literate (MS Office, Outlook, other basic engineering software)
Travel Expectations:
Willingness to Travel: Availability to travel up to 50 % of the time (e.g., customer visits, training at our technical centers, trade shows, etc.).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position responsible for driving the strategic growth segments of the division through innovative product development and exploring adjacent market opportunities. Must effectively interface with all division departments and management. Works with minimal daily supervision but keeps team leaders and staff informed of project status.
