Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of all production activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality output, while adhering to safety standards and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, technical proficiency, and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and company targets. 
    • Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. 
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure timely delivery of materials. 
    • Assembly of Industrial equipment and testing of the same as per desired IS Standards.
    • Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)/ Any test operating system.
    • Understanding of process measurements like Pressure / Temperature / Air Flow / RH etc..
    • Rotary compressor assembly and testing processes hands on
    • Exposure on oracle or SAP with hands on MS excel and Power point
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, motivate, and coach a team of production employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs
    • Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality
    • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
    • First pass yield improvement of assembly and Testing
    • Collaboration with QA, Engineering, ME for product improvement
    • ISO standards compliance
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all production activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner
    • Implement and maintain safety procedures and protocols
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
  • Cost Management:
    • Monitor and control production costs to ensure profitability
    • Identify and implement cost-saving measures
    • Prepare and manage the production budget
    • Cost cutting drive mechanism exposure
    • Negotiations skills
    • Energy savings projects drive
    • Line side consumable planning and management
    • Capex planning
    • Manpower optimization

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. 
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Production management, with a proven track record of success. 
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Software Proficiency: Must be Proficient in Oracle systems, MS Office Suite, and other relevant software. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Compressor and products manufactured company. 
  • Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards. 

Team Size- Direct reporting of 30nos. manpower to this position and reporting to Operations Leader
