Job Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing SAP modules related to engineering and manufacturing operations. The role ensures accurate data management, smooth SAP transactions, system integration, and alignment of SAP processes with engineering and production requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day SAP operations related to the Engineering and Production functions
  • Create, maintain, and update Material Master & Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering master data
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in SAP
  • Coordinate with design, production, quality, and stores teams for data accuracy
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement through SAP automation
  • Support integration between SAP and manufacturing processes
  • Assist in standardizing engineering and production workflows in SAP
  • Act as a key link between Engineering, Production, Purchase, Stores, and IT-SAP teams
  • Support users by resolving SAP-related issues and queries
  • Maintain SAP-related documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, audit requirements, and data integrity standards
  • Prepare SAP reports related to Material Master, BOMs and engineering changes

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
  • SAP certification is an added advantage

Experience & Core Competencies:

  • 3–7 years of experience in SAP support within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP PP/MM
  • Experience working in manufacturing industries such as automotive, heavy engineering, FMCG, or industrial equipment is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP PP and MM modules
  • Understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes
  • Material master, BOM, and master data management
  • Basic knowledge of MRP, production orders, routing, work center, and material planning
  • Strong coordination and communication abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA
