Job Summary
Candidate must have hands-on experience and programming/operation knowledge of:
- Mazak Integrex I-200 & I-300 (Multi-tasking Machines)
- Doosan VMV Series (Vertical Machining Centers)
- Mazak HMC 6000 & 6800 (Horizontal Machining Centers)
Additionally:
- Strong understanding of CNC programming (G-code / conversational programming / CAM software)
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, and machining strategies
- Experience with fixture design and development
Responsibilities
1. New Product Development (NPD)
- Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introduction (NPI/NPD).
- Develop robust machining processes, routing, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with design, quality, and production teams for manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
- Conduct feasibility studies, cycle time estimation, and risk assessments (PFMEA).
2. Productivity Improvement
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve machining productivity and OEE.
- Reduce cycle time using advanced cutting strategies, fixturing, and tooling optimization.
- Drive automation opportunities in CNC machining and assembly processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, line balancing).
3. Cost Saving Projects
- Lead cost reduction projects through process improvements, and value engineering.
- Optimize tool consumption, machining parameters, and material utilization.
4. CNC Process Optimization
- Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for complex components.
- Improve cutting parameters, tool paths, and machine utilization efficiency.
- Standardize best practices across machining operations.
- Troubleshoot process issues related to quality, tool life, or cycle time.
5. Tooling & Technology Advancement
- Introduce advanced and cutting-edge tooling solutions (indexable tools, high-speed machining, carbide tools, coatings, etc.).
- Validate new tooling concepts to enhance productivity and tool life.
- Collaborate with tooling suppliers for continuous innovation and trials.
6. Quality & Process Control
- Ensure process capability (Cp/Cpk) and maintain high-quality standards.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for defects.
- Implement poka-yoke and mistake-proofing techniques in processes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / production engineering or equivalent.

Fully site based, flexible working, hybrid, 30% travel across India, etc)
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office and manufacturing software tools.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
