Job & Division Summary: 

Provide in-depth technical support for customers and sales teams. Work both directly and indirectly with customers to ensure the best possible match between the company’s products and the customer’s applications. Function as a liaison between the customer and the various disciplines within the company. Develop and provide technical training for sales and other relevant teams. Manage projects in the relevant software and always assure compliance with processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert, assisting customers with product selection, specifications, and compatibility to facilitate sales.
  • Manage relationships with large OEM customers, including communication, quality reporting, and engineering support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain—to address customer needs and drive growth.
  • Travel to onsite customer visits and trade shows.
  • Secure and share (when applicable and allowed) product documentation (data sheets, drawings, and specifications) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide pricing recommendations to product managers and sales teams based on: manufacturing cost, market dynamics (average selling price, competitive offers, and value differentiators) and internal guidelines.
  • Share potential product ideas based on customer discussions with product managers for product roadmapping considerations.
  • Provide guidance and answer questions about product specifications, technical attributes, and commercial differentiators.
  • Liaise with other functional teams and customers to aid in the resolution of product performance and quality issues.
  • Develop and deliver product training for commercial team members and partners.
  • Manage application engineering projects according to process.
  • Support of Demand Generation with development of white papers, marketing collateral, campaigns, or other lead generation tools.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

 

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience supporting commercial operations (sales and customers).
  • Industry experience with microfluidics in Life Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively cross-functionally and in a global setting.
  • Experience capturing customer requirements and translating them into recommendations.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Able to learn and use other software programs as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Commercial awareness
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong presentation skills

 

Desired skills:

  • Experience in Salesforce CRM

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
