Job & Division Summary:
The Engineering Manager will lead a small, high-performing team of mechanical engineers and designers in Bengaluru, India, focused on the design, analysis, and development of next-generation reciprocating compressor products. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), mechanical design, and data analytics with strong leadership and project management skills to drive product innovation and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to testing and field support.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices for the design and analysis of reciprocating compressor components and systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and budget constraints.
- Perform and guide detailed analysis using CFD and FEA to optimize product performance, reliability, and durability.
- Utilize data analytics to evaluate product performance, diagnose field issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the creation and review of 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure seamless product development and introduction.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and material developments related to reciprocating compressors and mechanical engineering.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a SecOps, DevSecOps, or similar cybersecurity role
- Strong knowledge of application and infrastructure security scanning tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and container security
- Familiarity with vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring
- Hands-on experience with cryptographic key management and security architecture^
- Familiarity with best practices and standards for infrastructure and repository hardening
- Additional knowledge on web Application Testing / Web Portal Testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in the reciprocating compressor industry, with a focus on product design and development.
- Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership or management role, overseeing a team of engineers.
- Deep fluency and hands-on experience with CFD and FEA analysis tools.
- Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Advanced skills in data analytics and its application to engineering problem-solving.
- Excellent project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
