Job & Division Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Engineer to support the development and testing of mechanical and electromechanical prototypes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in prototype assembly, test rig operation, and conducting performance and reliability evaluations of components and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical prototypes based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate test rigs to evaluate product performance under various conditions.
  • Record, analyze, and report test data; communicate findings effectively with the engineering team.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and refining prototypes throughout the development cycle.
  • Maintain lab equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to support iterative development and testing.

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience across at least 2 projects involving mechanical/electromechanical prototype assembly and testing, including setting up and operating test rigs (minimum 2 years).
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in quality checks of mechanical parts and coordination with vendors for part development.
  • Hands-on experience in measurement of dimensions, analysis of dimensional reports, and interpretation for design feedback.
  • Experience in test case development, execution, and product validation, along with strong communication and documentation skills.

Desired skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and basic instrumentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lab or testing environment, preferably in product development.
