Ecoplant is a fast-growing, award-winning AI-based SaaS company on a mission to create a greener, smarter industrial world. We help industrial plants reduce energy waste, CO₂ emissions, and unplanned downtime by bringing automation, visibility, and intelligence to compressed air systems. Our innovative platform modernizes outdated infrastructure, enabling leading manufacturers to cut costs, optimize performance, and operate more efficiently than ever.

Job & Division Summary:

We’re building a data-driven SaaS for compressed air / compressors. We develop smart resource-management algorithms for a distributed system, optimizing decisions under real-world constraints (stability, safety, performance). Our work has direct impact: we help customers reduce energy use, cut CO₂ emissions, and save money — driving a greener future.

You’ll work closely with our Israel-based core team. We need a proactive, high-ownership engineer who pushes things forward.

Responsibilities

Algorithm Development

- Design custom mathematical, statistical, and rule-based algorithms for compressor and system behavior

- Build logic for detecting pressure leaks, efficiency degradation, abnormal cycling, sensor drift/failure, etc.

- Use system physics, constraints, and empirical data to design robust algorithmic logic

- Translate findings into structured, interpretable outputs

Sensor Data & Signal Interpretation

- Work directly with raw time series sensor data

- Build physical consistency checks across IOT readings

- Engineer features grounded in system behavior (not generic ML workflows)

- Handle noisy, missing, or inconsistent telemetry data

Engineering & Implementation

- Implement algorithms in production grade Python with clean architecture

- Build FastAPI-based services for analysis and data ingestion

- Write thorough unit tests, edge case tests, and integration tests

- Collaborate across engineering teams with strong documentation and code reviews

Mandatory Skills

- 4+ years building production Python systems

- Strong experience with Python backend/API frameworks (FastAPI / Flask)

- Clear communication and ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams

Desired Skills

- M.Sc. in CS, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or similar

- Exposure to industrial IoT, thermodynamics, mechanical/industrial systems

- Experience taking algorithms from prototype to production in real-world environments

- Experience working with sensor, telemetry, or time series data optimization, heuristics, or control/monitoring systems

What We Value

- First principles thinkers who can convert system understanding into algorithms

- Engineers who balance mathematical depth with clean, production-ready implementation

- Curiosity and comfort working with complex, real-world sensor data
