Job & Division Summary: 

The System Test Lead will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing end-to-end system testing for a SaaS-based server application that communicates with multiple networked devices. This role ensures the server and connected devices function as expected, covering configuration, data collection, and integration scenarios. The candidate will lead the testing strategy, plan and track execution, define automation frameworks, and ensure quality across deployments.

The system test lead will play a key role in driving our growth strategy through engineering excellence and delivering on our promise of reliability and superior customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine system requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business goals.
  • Define and implement system-level test strategies for a SaaS server interacting with networked devices, with requirements traceability
  • Develop test plans covering server functionality, device behavior, and integration scenarios.
  • Lead a team of testers and coordinate with development and product teams.
  • Drive automation for system-level tests and regression suites.
  • Manage defect tracking and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate on release readiness and performance validation.

 

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong experience in system testing for distributed systems or SaaS products.
  • Experience with testing web-based applications using HTTP/ HTTPS
  • Familiarity with configuring & testing connected device communications.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, or custom frameworks).
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience in performance, scalability & reliability testing.
  • Familiarity with security testing for SaaS applications.
  • Expert-level knowledge of at least one defect management tool (eg. Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Excellent analytical, planning and tracking skills.

 

Desired Skills

  • Test Certifications: ISTQB as advanced Test Lead, Certified Agile Tester, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Power Focus Open Protocol (PF OP)
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Experience with white-box testing for data transfer & integrity
  • Knowledge of security threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and compliance testing.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications or equivalent.
  • 8+ years in testing, with at least 2 years in a lead role
