Job Summary

This position is expected to develop business for Elmo Rietschle brand of PFT India Vacuum Business. The candidate will be responsible working closely with sales & cross function team, understand the business needs and develop business by effectively implementing strategies for VP Tech business – Ingersoll Rand ITS Division. The position will report to business line leader.

Responsibilities

1.Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Set annual and quarterly revenue, order booking, and margin targets for all regions.
  • Drive achievement of sales goals through effective planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring.

2. Key Account Management

  • Manage relationships with strategic national accounts.
  • Lead negotiations for large deals, long-term agreements, and price contracts.
  • Ensure retention and growth of high-potential customers.

3. Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop regional sales managers and field sales teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews, capability-building sessions, and weekly/monthly business reviews.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability.

4. Forecasting, Funnel & Pipeline Management

  • Ensure accurate monthly/quarterly forecasts through CRM/Salesforce discipline.
  • Review funnel stages, opportunity health, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive conversion rates through strong follow-up and sales governance.

5. Pricing, Margin & Commercial Governance

  • Implement national pricing strategy and discount management.
  • Ensure margin improvement through value-selling and mix optimization.
  • Oversee payment collections, credit control, and AR reduction.

6. Market Intelligence & Business Development

  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts.
  • Identify new segments, applications, and product opportunities.
  • Support product positioning, new product launches, and GTM strategies.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, service, supply chain, production, and finance teams.
  • Ensure timely order execution, inventory alignment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives for customer programs and new product introductions.

8. Customer Experience & Problem Resolution

  • Lead customer meetings, seminars, and national customer engagement programs.
  • Address escalations and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Drive aftersales engagement and repeat business.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • .BE / B Tech. – Mechanical / Electrical + MBA (Added Advantage)
  • Language:  English (Must) /Hindi (Optional but can add advantage)

 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

The job needs frequent travel across India for Business Development. 50 to 60% travel

 

Key Competencies

Absolute KEY skills needed for role

  • Candidate must have handled business with Pan India leadership position for at least 2 years
  • Overall experience in Industrial segment must be more than 15 years.
