Job Overview:

 

To oversee and manage all aspects of an organization's maintenance operations to ensure the efficient and reliable functioning of its facilities, equipment, and machinery. This includes planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Ultimately, the goal is to minimize downtime, reduce repair costs, and optimize the overall performance of the organization's assets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing maintenance personnel, including technicians and engineers, to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Creating and enforcing maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Allocating resources effectively, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Enforcing safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Overseeing the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of all equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization.
  • Managing spare parts and supplies to ensure timely availability for maintenance and repair activities
  • Implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential issues and minimize unexpected breakdowns
  • Evaluating the performance of maintenance staff and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient resource utilization.
  • Kaizens, improvements to achieve MTTR reduction and MTBF enhancement goals.
  • ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 documentations and Audits.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
  • Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred, B.Tech. in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in maintenance management role.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems of CNC turning, HMC and VMC machines.
  • Systematic Problem Solving, Lean techniques, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, 5S.
  • Shutdown Planning & Execution.
  • Proven people management skill set.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and automaton, Utilities maintenance.
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
  • Experience delivering results through cross-functional work.
