Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to lead and grow our Direct GLI compressor sales within the Lucknow territory.
The ideal candidate will possess strong sales experience, the ability to develop key customer relationships, and a deep understanding of the industrial/compressor market. The individual will drive new business acquisition, strengthen customer partnerships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive direct sales and service offerings for Ingersoll Rand GLI customers.
  • Manage and grow the overall business revenue within the assigned territory.
  • Lead new customer acquisition with a strong focus on conversion and retention.

Customer Management

  • Build strong, trusting, and long-term customer relationships.
  • Understand customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of service issues.

Market & Product Excellence

  • Develop deep product knowledge of compressors and related offerings.
  • Demonstrate strong market and industry awareness.
  • Identify opportunities, manage sales pipelines, and drive opportunity closures.

Account & Distribution Management

  • Manage direct accounts and ensure value creation for customers.
  • Collaborate with distribution teams where applicable to support market penetration.
  • Drive aftermarket growth by identifying service opportunities.

Skill & Competency Expectations

  • Customer-centric approach in all interactions.
  • Ability to create compelling presentations and business proposals.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork with cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: 7–10 years in sales (compressor sales preferred).
  • Education: BE/B.Tech (Mechanical) required; MBA is an added advantage.

Travel & Work Requirements

  • Travel as per business needs within the assigned territory.

Key Competencies

  • Strong background in Sales (Compressor industry experience preferred).
  • Experience in Direct Sales and Distribution Sales (minimum 5–8 years).
  • Service sales experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to convert competitive accounts.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills.
