Job Summary: -
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to work in our facility in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Function (AME). The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products, processes and equipment and leads strategic and continual improvement initiatives. He will also be responsible for creating, testing, and optimizing programs that control computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Also responsible to translate engineering blueprints into precise machining instructions to produce high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities: -
Machining Process:
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Develop CNC programs (Siemens/Fanuc) using CAD/CAM software for Grinding/Milling/Turning etc operations.
- Deep Know how of Set up CNC machine programs, Capability Analysis, and adjust programs for optimal performance.
- Oversee & provide training to operation on complete Machine Operation, Maintenance, PM, Spare Management.
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining processes for each job.
- Collaborate with engineers and global team to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of CNC programs, WI’s, setup sheets, and revisions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
- Can operate the machines & adhere to work efficiently in shifts on need basis.
Assembly Process:
- Analyses the manufacturing methods and production processes involved in delivering projects, both strategic and continual improvement initiatives
- Compiles and submits the data to the management team with statistical data to clearly identify the future requirements of manufacturing.
- Works with all levels of the organization to identify and implement process improvements, find process interactions and dependencies.
- Designs, develops, tests and/or sources various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Designs and implements lean manufacturing methods that meet regulatory compliance and improve efficiencies for the organization.
- Completes end to end planning, direction and coordination of all the manufacturing process and equipment changes.
- Works closely with the Maintenance department to ensure the maintainability of new installations by implementing an effective predictive and preventative program.
- Utilizes TOC, six sigma and lean manufacturing tools that will lead to reduced downtime, increased production and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leads change management activities and ensures solution adaptability.
Qualifications: -
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in CNC programming or related field preferred.
- Certification in CNC programming (Siemens/Fanuc) or machine tool technology is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of machining, Assembly processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience with 3,4, or 5-axis CNC machines is highly desirable.
Experience: -
- 10+ Years of Overall Exp. with major experience In CNC programming.
- Well verse with Large horizontal/vertical boring & lathe/Milling machines.
- Experienced in Siemens/Fanuc or equivalent controls.
- Awareness of ISO standard viz. QMS, EMS, EHS etc.
Skills & Competencies: -
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Analytical thinking/Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and Lean manufacturing skills are desirable
- Significant use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and NAV with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, emails, SOP’s, regulations, and other materials required.
- Ability to effectively present information verbally to other employees of the organization.
- Must effectively demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
- Ability to add, subtract, and multiply applying statistical and other complex mathematic concepts when needed.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
