🎯 Role Overview

Ingersoll Rand India Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced New Product Development Program Manager to lead strategic product initiatives within our Air Compressor division. Based at our Naroda, Ahmedabad facility, this role will drive innovation, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of new products aligned with customer needs and global standards.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Strategy:
    • Lead NPD projects & programs from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with Ingersoll Rand’s innovation NPD roadmap.
    • Collaborate with global and regional teams to define product strategy and execution plans.
  • Project Execution:
    • Develop and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
    • Track milestones, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of product launches.
  • Customer & Market Insight:
    • Work with Product Management Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering to gather VOC (Voice of Customer) and market trends.
    • Translate insights into actionable product specifications.
  • Technical Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with Engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to validate prototypes and ensure manufacturability.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO, CE, BIS, and other applicable standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate program status, risks, and decisions to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Facilitate design reviews, gate meetings, and executive updates.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Champion lean product development practices and drive process improvements across the NPD lifecycle.

🧠 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in product development or program management within industrial equipment or air compressor industry.
  • Strong understanding of rotary screw, reciprocating, and oil-free compressor technologies.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization is a plus.
  • PMP, CAPM or equivalent certification preferred.
