Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager - North India to drive business development and sales growth across the municipal wastewater sector in North India.With an approved project pipeline valued across key regions including Delhi Jal Board (DJB), Haryana, Punjab, and other Northern states, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure development projects. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in managing sales and business development activities involving Municipal Authorities, Consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), and EPC Contractors. A strong understanding of wastewater treatment technologies and processes is essential, along with the ability to influence project specifications and drive business opportunities from concept to order closure. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue and growth targets across North India.
  • Identify, track, and convert opportunities within municipal wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Develop a robust pipeline and maintain visibility of upcoming projects, tenders, approvals, and funding programs.
  • Drive specification-influencing activities with consultants, municipal bodies, and project stakeholders during the design stage.
  • Generate demand for the company's solutions and technologies across municipal wastewater applications.
  • Strong understanding of municipal project cycles, procurement processes, tendering procedures, and specification-driven sales. 
  • Monitor project developments from DPR stage through tendering, bidding, award, and execution.
  • Analyze competitive activities, market trends, regulatory changes, and government policies affecting the wastewater industry.
  • Drive negotiations and support contract finalization to achieve successful order closures.

 Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or equivalent business qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or project sales within the wastewater treatment industry.
  • Strong understanding of municipal project cycles, procurement processes, tendering procedures, and specification-driven sales.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

  • Extensive travel across North India is required, including regular visits to Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Expected travel commitment of approximately 50-70% of working time to support customer engagement, site visits, consultant meetings, project reviews, and business development activities.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice based on project and customer requirements.
  • Participation in industry conferences, technical seminars, exhibitions, and customer events as required.
