Quality Engineer

Job Summary:
A Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and systems to ensure products or services meet customer, safety, and regulatory requirements. They analyze data, conduct inspections, perform root cause analysis for defects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Planning & Compliance: Assist in developing quality program plans, defining quality status indicators, and implementing ISO standards.
- Inspection & Testing: Establish inspection plans (incoming, in-process, final), define acceptance criteria, and conduct product evaluations.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilize tools like Six-Sigma, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and FMEA to improve processes and reduce defects.
- Corrective Action (CAPA): Investigate, identify, and resolve quality problems, including managing 8D reports for customer complaints.
- Audit & Documentation: Conduct internal and supplier audits, and maintain documentation for quality control, such as control plans and inspection reports.
- Supplier Management: Manage supplier key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor supplier quality.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality testing of Pumps or Valves.
- Strong technical understanding of pump applications & industrial processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
Desired Skills & Attributes:
- Strong network within key industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, chemicals, and food and beverage.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to offer technical solutions to complex challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP will be a plus.
