Job Summary

 

 Safety Manager's job summary typically focuses on protecting employees, visitors, and the environment by ensuring workplace safety and compliance with regulations. They develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, and provide training and guidance on safety procedures. Ultimately, they aim to create a safe and healthy work environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead site EHS and ESG Activities, implement global processes and maintain injury free work environment.
  • Provide overall leadership for Mechanical, Electrical and controls lab, establish and maintain standard work to get reliable and consistent test results
  • Manage common facilities and manage overall site operation ensuring safe and healthy work environment for the employees.
  • Manage site and lab operations ensuring minimized contribution to carbon foot print and implement zero waste to landfill policy.
  • Manage logistics process for the site

 

Essential Skills: 

    • 5+ years of experience in independently managing EHS and ESG responsibilities as a FULL TIME ROLE in a medium or large manufacturing size site with 300+ people.
    • 3+ years of experience in managing operation in large size laboratory or  end of line testing in a manufacturing plant.
    • Experience in implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or other similar international standards.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence peers and people in senior in hierarchy.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Certificated ISO auditor
  • Leadership skills

 

Education and Qualifications:

  • Full time Degree / PG in Engineering in any discipline from an institute of repute
  • Certification in EHS field from an institute of repute
