Job Summary

A Shop Floor Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. Key responsibilities include scheduling, assigning tasks, training personnel, monitoring performance metrics, and resolving operational bottlenecks. They act as a bridge between management and operators to achieve production goals.

 

  • Operational Workflow: Supervises and coordinates daily activities to ensure efficient production or service delivery, allocating job cards or tasks based on staff skills.
  • Quality & Safety Control: Ensures strict adherence to safety regulations (PPE, cleanliness) and quality standards to minimize rework.
  • Team Management & Training: Leads, motivates, and trains staff and apprentices, providing feedback and, when necessary, managing performance through discipline.
  • Maintenance & Inventory: Monitors equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, and oversees inventory levels of tools and consumables to support the workload.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Tracks KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, and project timelines, reporting to higher management on performance and issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Acts as the first point of contact to resolve on-the-ground operational issues or technical, troubleshooting problems

 

 

Qualifications\Requirements
•    Proven experience in quality. 
•    Conscientious and responsible. 

•    A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.
•    Outstanding communication skills.
•    Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
•    In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
